4. Ibogaine: Known Risks and Contraindications

Ibogaine therapy carries inherent medical risks. These include, but are not limited to:

• Cardiac risks: Ibogaine has well-documented QT-prolonging effects and has been associated with cardiac arrhythmias, including potentially fatal ventricular fibrillation. All patients undergo mandatory 12-lead ECG cardiac screening before treatment is considered.
